Here they come!  Yes, they're hard to see, and it's a small group, but they're there!  You can see the yellow Mavic support car.  Note the TV helicopter in the  upper right. The lead group has gone out of view, but still not up to us yet, and here comes the peloton!  (or what's left of it) The lead group is quite close to us now.  You can't really see them in this photo (sorry!) but you can tell where they are by the low-flying helicopter that is just below road level.

Finally!  Here they are!  The lead rider is just to the right of the fan in the yellow and red. Kevin (I'm pretty sure) leading the peloton to the top.  You can see many of the big names of this year's tour: Moreau, Virenque, Beloki, Beltran (white Mapei jersey) and Lance's yellow jersey on the right.  The Telekom guy right behind Kevin is most likely Vinokurov, but could be Bolts or Guerini  I have no idea who the Lotto guy in red is over Kevin's shoulder.  At this point, nothing major had happened in the main group.  Botero had already attacked to try to bridge to the leading group, but was still in-between the two groups. George Hincapie and two other guys trying to minimize losses.  There's a long line of team cars behind them, so I'm thinking that they're just off the back of the peloton.  (I don't rightly remember, to tell the truth!)

I'm guessing that this if Francois Simon, but I really have no clue. Frankie!  Liz took this shot as I yelled my lungs out.  Liz swears that he glanced over at me when he heard his name.  Not too many people cheering for him, I'm sure.  That's Fred Rodriguez from Mapei in the US national champ's jersey to the left. Here's one of the many motorcycles used for officiating, photos, TV, or some other use I don't know about.
