We're on a Mission From God

We're On a Mission from God

He's alone in his own world

His banner has become unfurled

He tries to think, can only reason why

He needs one more hit, one more high.

His judgment begins to go

His pace becomes too slow

He waits in line too long

For him we sing this song.

We try to be those who say

It's wrong to go this way

Those who say they're not going to tell you what to do

Don't really care about you.

This man, this boy, this empty shell

Has entered his own personal hell

He lives for only one thing:

to make his head light, to make his nose sting.

(c:)          Why does he do it?

What makes him do it?

Can he be that stupid?

Don't do it!

Some hear this and laugh in our face

"You don't belong here, go back to your own place"

But we do, we really do

We're just trying to help you.

You can come back to your life

It's a road of pain, a lot of strife

But it's really worth it in the end

We're glad to have you home again.
