I Think

I  Think

You think of things that you deserve

And wonder why you don't get them,

You think of things that you did now

And tasks that you did then.

You think of ways to better yourself

And then think you don't need to,

You think of the times that you were wrong

And wonder, "Oh, how few!"

You think of pictures of yourself

And wish they did you justice,

You think of shyness and immaturity

And wonder where yours is.

You think of things that no other thinks

And ponder why they won't,

You think of great and gallant deeds

And realize that they don't.

I think she thinks you think too much

I think I am quite sure,

That if you  want  to  win  her  love

You'd better think of her.
