He is just a couch potato

Wide eyes like a fish

Mushy brain like a tomato.

Couch potato!

He' s just an empty shell

With his insides all gone,

Only thing he can do is

Turn the television on.

Comes home from work

Turns the boob tube on

Watches every commercial

And all the sit-coms.

Couch potato!

Won't listen to anyone

Or hear what they say

Answers all your questions

With a frown and,  "Go away. "

Couch potato!

Doesn' t know the first thing

About toxic waste,

But proudly recalls

Every television he' s faced.
