The wall twixt the two men
Was sturdy.
Stronger than stick, stone, steel,
Even stronger than
A word.
Yet a thought from one
Just one thought
Of uneasiness, mistrust, doubt,
And the wall starts
To crack.
The crack grows and causes
More uneasiness
By growing, pulling, straining,
And the wall
Crumbles.
The wall's rubble
Litters the ground
As the two men,
(Good friends?)
Part ways.
